This home was built by and envisioned by Israel Prize Winning architect Zvi Hecker. He designed the neighborhood of Ramot Polin as several pentagonal units. These were completed in the year of 1975 and he has since expanded. In total there are 175 apartments in this unit. This was supposed to look similar to the palm of an open hand with the 5 fingers being retaining walls supporting the entire slope of the hill. A similar look to these can be seen in his Synagogue in Negev.
